I have been keeping a huge secret. To all those that know me personally, don’t panic – you already know! Yes, I am a cocktail lover! I am obsessed. That bell whistles on Friday and by the time I’ve run home I’ve got the cocktail shaker in my hands! The big reveal is that I have the cocktail know how to share with you. I have THE place to go to get the BEST cocktails and the best service!
Be At One. If you’ve not heard of them – it wont be long until you do!
I discovered this cute little chain around 4 years ago on a random London date with my boy. And, since our first visit we’ve become true cocktail fans with this bar chain being the center of our obsession!
If you’re looking for a hip, fun and lively place to try lots of new things – look up this chain! The best bit is, they do an amazing Happy Hour! And, it lasts for agesss – well long enough for me, my three sisters and all of our boyfriends to get drunk enough we forget how to get home/get stuck in a bus stop! Yes, really!!
There are so many new bars popping up as the chain gets more and more popular – and amazingly, they aren’t just all around London. If you’re in Bristol or Cardiff, Brighton or Bath you’ll be well suited to the glam and hip bar! But luckily for me, there are lots of the bars now all over London and even further out to Reading!
The best bit about this place? It has to be the staff. I’ve been to so many and had cocktail making classes with them a few times but they are ALWAYS so nice and cheerful! They remember our names and our favourite drinks – that’s no mean feat when you consider they serve near on 500 people a weekend night!
The menu is to die for and although it is changing all the time I always start with my favourite – a grasshopper, then move onto the harder stuff! It offers everything from champagne to ICE CREAM cocktails. They have every type of liquor you can imagine and all the gorgeous garnishes a girl could dream of! Add to that the awesome playlist that booms out as soon as you walk in and you’re onto a winner!
I recently visited in order to make this post and went to the Reading branch. I have been to the Reading one many times and usually have an amazing time. Sadly, maybe due to the Christmas crush or the season, there were a few issues this time round. They opened over an hour late and ended happy hour over an hour early, the staff who are usually amazing were flagging and almost rude. But, do NOT let this put you off!! In fact, I haven’t let it put me off (benefit of the doubt and it being the season of good will and all that!) I’m actually going back this weekend for a family Christmas do!
So, please get your best clothes on and get ya butt out to one of these amazing bars!
And do yourself a favour and ask for an Irish Disco Biscuit! Trust me, you’ll love it!

I love cocktails. I went to a cocktail place in Bath once and I cannot remember if this was the one or not… The name is certainly familiar. I received a cocktail book for Christmas and I’m actually considering making some cocktails tonight, haha.

This sounds amazing! I love cocktails so any excuse to have one is perfect for me. So trying this new place sounds like a given! I love the look of the blood and sand one (either though the name is a bit weird!)

Defo do!! It’s amazing. They tell you to sip the cocktail and the shot of prosecco in turn but I just chuck it in and have a party!!

These look gorgeous! I’m so ashamed to say that I’ve never ever tried 1 cocktail *blush* yes it is true…never! Haha! I drink wine, beer and I’m a huge lover of shots after I’ve had a few. I drink mainly wine now but I used to be so bad on a night out and favourite drink is Jack Daniels Whiskey haha! I really must try some cocktails because I really feel like I haven’t lived until I do try at least 1. Great post Rosie
